    Default PayPal payments Pro

I am running osCmax 2.5.4 I used to have PayPal standard and TSYS/Authorize.net as payment methods, but Authorize.net changed the encryption required, and it stopped working. I kept the TSYS/Authorize account to take phone orders. Now, TSYS is getting crazy expensive, so I have signed up for PayPal Payments Pro.

Right now, I have PayPal website Payments Standard installed. But, there are two other PayPal modules available. Can one of them connect with PayPal Payments Pro for hosted credit card payments? I would much rather keep all credit card data OFF my computer completely, and use something like Authorize.net SIM or PayPal where the customer enters their credit card info to somebody else's site,
and then that site sends me an "OK, payment completed" message.

Thanks for any advice on this.

    Hi!
One of my clients uses a.net though has switched from SIM to AIM. Is that not an option for you?
Years ago, one of my other clients used PayPal Pro but things have changed with Paypal methods quite a bit since then. Try testing the Direct (PP Pro) module -it may still work. Alternatively, there may be an updated version on the osC site but I do know there's a scattering of PP code throughout 'max, so likely you'll have issues.

AIM accepts the card info through MY store, and then forwards it to Authorize.net. That involves a TON more PCI compliance hassles.
If I can say I never even SEE the card number, then I am pretty well insulated from PCI issues.

So, I really prefer to use SIM. But, it doesn't really matter - TSYS+A.net gives me a $100+ monthly bill with ZERO transactions, and also A.net doesn't work anymore, due to changes in the encryption method.

    Haven't heard of TSYS before.

Good luck with trying the PayPal modules. IIRC you need both parts of the Pro module installed though can disable one of them.
