FREE CHARGE CARD: misinformation ?

Hello,

I sell several downloadable products, and I want to give away free samples for customers to try the product and then come back for the full version.

My guess is that this is a job for the FREE CHARGE CARD.

I read this in an old thread:

problem with this module, is that if you have "regular" customers who also select this method of payment, they will never be asked for credit card details either. **only use "webmasters corner free charge card" if EVERYTHING in your store is meant to be FREE.

I'm trying the FCC module and it works beautifully:
- whenever I have a free product, OPC only lists the FCC as payment option.
- if the cart contains not-free products, and even if there's a free product in it, the FCC option it doesn't show.

Am I missing something ?

Not a module I have used ... perhaps a quick check over at oscommerce.com would provide some insight into this module. I suspect it is quite old as it has been in there since I started work on osCmax.
