Checking Quantity at checkout....

Hi!

My storeowner is selling ice cream, and in order for it to be cost effective to ship, the customer must buy their ice cream in 4, 6, 8, or 12 pints at a time.

So...I guess right before they checkout, I need to put in some code to check the quantity of all ice cream orders. How should I go about doing this? I'm not quite sure which module to put this code in...

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

there is a class called "shoppingCart" which handles the quantity and stuff pertaining to the actual shopping cart functions; the actual file is in catalog/includes/classes/shopping_cart.php

also, you might want to look at the "xsell" contrib which looks for min. quantity of product X to give a discount, in your case, you want to restrict checkout untill the customer reaches "xsell"....
