Cannot find this file to modify

Please can anyone tell me where this is located: so i can modify it. I cannot find this directory

apache/conf/httpd.conf

that would be in the /usr/local/apache/conf dir... if you have a vanilla install.

do

locate httpd.conf

from the command prompt, or do

whereis httpd.conf

to find out for sure. If you are on a shared host, you will not have access to that file.
