    Default Dynamic MoPics

    How does it work?

I've been trying for over 2 hours now but I cannot get it to work

Ive followed the instructions here: osCommerce Documentation by OSCdox :: osCommerce and osCMax installation and users manual, discussion forums (phpWiki) but whatever I do, as soon as i add: "thumbs/test.gif in to my product-page image box instead of browsing to it and then when I click preview nothing happens.
When I remove "thumbs/test.gif I can click normaly.

Could someone please explain what I'm doing wrong or missing here?

    in the \thumbs I have: test.gif
    in \images_big I have: test_big.jpg

    Thanks!

    Also see this:
osCommerce Documentation by OSCdox :: osCommerce and osCMax installation and users manual, discussion forums (phpWiki)

Do a search here too. This has been discussed over and over, there are a few good threads here about it.

Can you tell me what caused the problem? I'm having exactly the same issue, I've followed the instructions to the letter so many times, searched the manual, searched the forums, and still I can't find what I'm doing wrong

i2Paq did you actually reslove the issue about having your main thumbnail in the /thumbs directory?

Michael, I have Dynamic Mopics working perfectly, if I add additional images to /thumbs and /images_big with the appropriate imagebase.

But I discovered a problem today where if I have more than 2000 images in the catalogue/images directory then the ftp programmes can't deal with it because the server truncates the output and I can't navigate to the directorys within /images, hope that makes sense.

So I want to use the switch that allows me to place my main thumbnail into the /thumbs directory, but the instructions say that I should put "thumbs/imagename.jpg" into my products page, which is exactly what 12Paq said he was trying to do, but as he also said if you do that and press preview nothing happens?

I have searched but noone seems to have stated what the issue or fix is.

    Can anyone help?

    Issue with mopics:
133: In the Dynamic MoPics Admin, setting "Main Thumbnail In "Thumbnail Images Directory" to TRUE, does not work - Bug Tracker - open source Commerce Maximized :: osCMax

You can get the full output in FTP by setting filters in your ftp client to show all (-a filter).

I have never had a problem with output being truncated. I can see all files even over 2000.

OK, that gives me a way of doing it, doesn't explain why the admin facility won't let you type /thumbs/imagename.jpg, but as it works via easypopulate I will worry about it another day, thanks Michael you are a star.

    Hi Guys,

I used the previous version of oscmax which worked great with not only larger versions of the pictures, but also EXTRA pictures. All you had to do was install oscamax and it worked. Now under oscmax2_RC3_0_1.zip it has mo_pics but nothing is working.
There is no place to upload the images ( of course no way to display them ).

The other thing is the link in this thread for a doc no longer works...
    Any help appreciated!

    Bob
