Really strange as I have not been able to find the answer to this question either. Also I noticed that it has been asked before with no response?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Anything is possible... You just need to know what you are doing.

It is pretty easy to compare the 2 dbs using mysqldiff and update a 1.7 to 2.0 structure.

Thank You, I found this answer very useful. I think to give OsCMax a chance, and stop looking at Joomla/Virtuemart for now.
