Default Adding admin: Email address format invalid xxx.yyy@xxx.co.uk

When I try and add a new administrator to an oscMax2 install using an email address of the format:

    firstname.surname@company.co.uk

I get an error telling me that the email address format is invalid....

It's a fresh out of the box install of RC2, and it happens consistently with addresses with two (or more) dotted username components, and three dotted domain components, (such as company.co.uk, company.com.au, etc)

It was mentioned in the forums for v1.7 here:

    http://www.oscdox.com/index.php?name...pic&t=2211

    and here

    http://www.oscdox.com/index.php?name...pic&t=4235

but nothing since... have I missed a fix somewhere between 1.7 and 2? Or did everyone who hit this issue just go and quietly fix it themselves...

That works, but you can't always say to a user that they need to change their email address or they can't have an admin account!
