    Default Stripe Payment module

    I'm running oscMAX v2.0.25 (yea no hollerin' I don't need it.. this works for me)

    I'd really like to install this Stripe Payment module, well I did but it won't work.. has anyone gotten it to work yet?

    It connects but fails.. I think its got to do with the gift voucher module from the debug email:
    $HTTP_POST_VARS:

    Array
    (
    [gv_redeem_code] =>
    [x] => 68
    [y] => 15
    )
    Ideas for me??
    thanks!

    Coincidentally, I was asked to look at this payment method just a few days ago. The installation seemed straightforward but that's as far as I've got.
    Does the sample code on the Strip site indicate that a [gv_redeem_code] directive is used and if so, what format it should be?

    I do not like the seven day wait on Stripe for the money to go into your account. That means you ship product prior to seeing the payment - I won't do that.

    The rates are 2.9% plus $0.30, which is pretty much the same as PayPal.

    Now I have issues with PayPal (who doesn't) but the money is put in your account IMMEDIATELY. Why help Stripe finance their business with a seven day rolling hold on your funds?

    $30 Monthly @ PayPal? You are taking credit card payments then using phone, etc using PayPal's gateway?

    We don't do that - we simply send customers a PayPal invoice or let them pay via our web site - which takes them to PayPal and then they go back. This process doesn't seem to bother them.

    For our regular store type credit cards we use a service here (Canada) by Chase Paymentech (other use Moneris, etc.) when they 'rent' us a credit card reader and charge us around $25/month for the use of that and processing fees. We get all that through belonging to a business club and as a result we get our credit card payments to under 1% in some cases, and maximum of around 3%. We save the cost of the club in credit card fees after about two or three months, so it is well worth it!
