    Default Items Aren't being Removed From Customer's Shopping Cart After Checkout is Completed

    I had a new customer email today and mentioned that he had to manually delete the items in his cart from his last order before he could proceed with a new purchase.

    I always thought that items were automatically deleted once the customer completed checkout?

    Is there a setting in the Admin. someplace that I missed that will allow the shopping cart to be emptied once checkout is completed. I'm using osCMaxv2.0.4

    Nope ...

    It will merge in any products they put in the their cart on their last visit but did not purchase ... any purchased products are removed from the cart. (or should be)

    I didn't know a buyer could have items in their cart but only purchase certain ones? I always thought whatever items were in the cart those are what was purchased when checkout was completed.

    Also, this same customer said he left a message in the Comments Box and I didn't receive it? I've had this issue since I launched the site. I get some messages and some I don't. The previous company that was hosting the site did a test purchase several times, left a message and I received it, so I don't know what's going on with that?

    Sorry ... I was not clear enough in my last post.

    When the customer checks out they will buy everything in their cart. However, what I was trying to say is that your customer could have come to your store browsed and added products. Gone away for 2 weeks. Come back again and found those products still in their basket (which they then had to remove before shopping for other items.)

    On your missing mail - I would check the server logs and mail logs for your server to see if this was generated at all. Might also be worth checking the customers configuration ... Ie. PC/Mac; FF,IE,Chrome,etc. Just in case this is a client issue (unlikely)
