Default Problem, WILLING TO PAY, DETAILS INSIDE

Hello all. As you might know, i am having a really hard time with mopics. I GIVE UP. Ive asked for help but its had little effect. I completely give up. I do not have much money, but i can offer 75.00 paypal to an account for the service. The problem is probably easy to fix but im not sure what to do or where to start.

The MoPics config resets the path without my consent, no matter what path i put for the image URL, it still gives me the root. I CANT FIX IT AT ALL. This money is borrowed from a friend as i have absolutly no cash and am still living in my parent's apartment. Please help, i would really appreciate it if someone can do me the favor free of charge, i will be more than willing to offer a pair of sneakers with free shipping, free of charge to whoever helps me fix it.

PLEASE HELP, IVE HAD THIS PROBLEM FOR OVER 3 WEEKS!

I'll bet you have easypopulated three weeks ago. Since then, even though you easypopulated again with changes to the locations of the images, it stubbornly thinks that they are in the same old place they were before. Is that right ? If so, your problem is probably hiding in the /temp directory where easypopulate uploads your file. It stays there until you delete it with some other tool. So every time you run easypopulate, it sees the old file and runs it along with any new file. You just were unlucky to have the old file overwrite the new file. Cear out the /temp directory and try it again, while making sure the images exist in the right subdirectories.

Also remember that you should not specify /image as the beginning of the path where you have you pictures. If a widget picture is /image/product1/widget1_pic.gif, you just put product/widget1_pic.gif in your easypopulate file. If you start with image it will expect that you mean /image/image/product1/

I know that I had similar problems when trying to fix just one image or another using the admin tool. It is almost as if the tool checks whether the data is contradicted by anything in /temp and then refuses to behave if it finds contradictory info. It probably does not, but it did behave mysteriously. just clear out things and start from scratch if you have to.

If you look in your MySQL database at your product table, you will see where the image is expected to be for each product. It should not be MoPics that is telling the store where the images are located, just what extensions to the filenames to expect (ie. _pic1.gif, _pic2.gif, _pic3.gif...).
