I just upgraded a client from 2.5.3 to 2.5.4. It looks like all of the products lost their prices, and the homepage lost its content. Any idea where I should look to debug this?

Going to need a bit more info - do you have a URL for the store ... did you use the upgrade script ... can you turn on error reporting?
