    Default osCMax forum

This is off the subject of the osCMax forum but rather deals with the forum.

If you go to oscmax.com/forum there is an incorrect rewrite url being used. The redirect for the link previous goes to http://www.oscmax.com/forums//home/o...ic_html/forums

Just thought you all might want to be aware. It seems it only deals with /forums because if you type in oscmax.com/forum the direct works... just on the wrong folder.

Also one other thing, and it only happens on creating new threads for me, is after a thread is submitted it hangs on the new reply page and pops up a download for the file newreply.php. The thread still submits regardless, but strange that it would ask to download the file newreply.php

Can you give a step by step walk through to cause the first issue?

As for the second issue, I am seeing this.... Looking at the server now...

One note, the url you post:
    http://www.oscmax.com/forum

is not the url for the forums. The url is:
    http://www.oscmax.com/forums/

Note forums not forum. I still am not sure how to reproduce this one, a little more direction would help. Thanks

The new thread issue has been resolved. There was a file that was corrupted and was not properly redirecting. Fixed.

Still would like your feedback on the first issue you noted. Let me know where on the site I can see that link... I am dense and cannot seem to find it.

    In your address bar type:

    oscmax.com/forum

    then

    oscmax.com/forums (real url)

You will see that the first one (Incorrect url) will redirect to the www.* just fine. The second example will not properly redirect to use the www.* prefix.

    When I type:

http://oscmax.com/forum I just get a blank page. This is because I do not have a redirect set up for that url. I think I will add one though.

    When I type

    http://oscmax.com/forums

It improperly redirects to http://www.oscmax.com/forums//home/o...ic_html/forums instead of

    http://www.oscmax.com/forums/

    Looking into it now.

It was not making sense to me... I just figured out what you are talking about. When I click the link to /forums in my above post, I get the 404 error you were talking about... Time to go digging

Got the rewrite without the trailing slash working now. Thanks for the heads up, I think both issues are now resolved.

    Good job, looks great!

I hate to say it though, I just posted something in Features Discussion about shipping and got a download popup for newthread.php
