Re: osCommerce Add-ons
The sub-forum where they are linked and posted is called New osCommerce Contributions. The specific purpose of that entire subforum is to link and discuss all new osCommerce mods.
We can link to the mods because the osCommerce Project site makes the RSS feed for the entire mod site available for public use. This is excellent and we are very happy that the developers have done this as it makes the community stronger and life easier for developers and users. Many users of osCmax also use osCommerce, code mods and changes for both, and modify new osCommerce mods to work with osCmax all the time.
That is the great thing about open source projects under the GPL, anyone is free to use or link or modify the code however they see fit and republish with attribution as long as they abide by the license. Any code publisher under the GPL (including you) is free to support or not support that code in any way they please. If you choose to discriminate between osCommerce and osCmax users, that is your decision. We at osCmax don't expect you to support anything we do here, and similarly, we are not concerned with what you think we should or should not link to.
