Default adding parked domain bad for SEO?

right now i am using mysite.com
i would like to add mysite.net to a parked domain pointing to mysite.com.
what im wondering is if this is bad for SEO?
would this show as duplicate content?
i wouldnt think so but wanted to ask to be sure.

As long as you use a 301 redirect for the parked domain, it will not have a negative effect.
