Not sending Order notification emails to another email address 2.5.2 vs 2.0.25

Orders are not automatically sent through - you have to put an email address into the admin -> configuration -> My store -> extra order emails field.

Why? Because not everyone wants all the emails to go to the store owner ... they may have a sales team or similar who processes orders ...

Please read the back story. A number of people (well I am and at least one other person) are frustrated because our 2.5.2 setup does not send out order complete notofication emails to the addresses entered correctly in the "Send Extra Order Emails To" section of the store configuration. Note that this worked just fine in 2.0.25 and broke when upgraded to 2.5.2 in October (for me). If you are using 2.5.2 for your store should I assume that the email notification is working correctly for you - or do you have it configured at all if you are a one person operator and thus not using "Send Extra Order Emails To"?

If so, and you do get a few orders every day or so, and you are running 2.5.2, please test it on your location.

One of my clients wasn't getting notifications when using PayPal IPN but it works fine when switched to Website Payments Standard.

Yes, but I suspect what your client is receiving is not notices from the web site, rather they are the automatic emails from PayPal - I get those too just fine. They don't include the details of the sale though...which is what the "Send Extra Order Emails To" is supposed to do.

my test store 2.5.2 (Revision 1861) sends extra orders just fine. I tested this by changing my extra order email setting to a @msn.com account just to see if it would work without using my domain mail. works for me.

Yes this feature works and I have not had any problems with it.

Your best debugging path is to tail the mail server logs while you place a test order (or get your host admins to do it for you).

They can then grab the relevant log information from the mail server as it happens and you will be able to see fairly clearly what is happening. Either osCmax fails to even attempt a mail server connection in which case no log entries or it does connect to the mail server and something goes wrong during the transit of the email through the server. In both cases you will get enough information to get to a resolution.

OK, narrowed it down, the problem is in One Page Checkout. When I disabled that then the system send out the correct Order Process email. So the bug appears to be in OPC - which is an Ajax process as I recall.

Is anyone running OPC and receiving the Order Process emails properly?

I don't use OPC but I tried it out on my store for you. I got my extra order email just fine.

HOWEVER, I saw this after I clicked the checkout button:
Warning: trim() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in ...(my path)/includes/functions/general.php on line 46
along with the processing order, please wait message. then it refreshed to checkout sucess page.

I use OPC/oscmax 2.5.2 and all my extra order emails are properly sent.
