Does anyone have an idea on a way to require a customer to open a site account before moving the cart to Google? I do not want to lose the contact information that we woud require.
Simple
Turn off "Purchase Without Account" - Under Configure/Accounts....

Thanks for the reply, but that is for the general OSCMAX- and was how I have the site configured. For the Google Checkout, it allows a buyer to jump to the Google Server Checkout page from the Shoping cart page, so there is no requirement to create an account before getting there. Worse still, that site allows buyers to remain anonymous from the sellers. (Maybe this module is not good for me, with high ticket sales.)
Maybe the button can be moved to a later step in the checkout process, as this payment module kicks in before the other modules, so it also makes it impossible to have a minimum on the cart, or other order total modules.
Any thoughts?

Yep, you need to weigh what your needs are. Google checkout will not work for you if you need customer info. Stick with normal checkout methods, or modify the google checkout module to only show after they have logged in.
