I've tried soooo many ways to get a workable solution to :rifle:shipping in oscommerce and oscmax that I can't even make a list. Does anyone know of a module that just works? Shipping isn't s new concept, this should not be so hard.
All i need is a USPS module that works right, has options to let the customer select tracking and/or insurance and that allows me to set handling charges. (would be really nice if there was a disclaimer for those who don't want tracking saying "If you don't want tracking, were not liable if it gets lost" or something along those lines as well.
I am open to suggestions, if anyone has any recommendations on how to setup USPS in a workable fashion thats not going to make people want to poke out their eyes while setting it up or using it I would appreciate your feedback :-)
thanks,
Jesse

I posted this question back in March and not one reply... come on, there has to be something... Oscmax should come with a functioning USPS module... correct me if I am wrong.

The tone of the opening post doesn't really make anyone prone to respond.
You may find that there has been a new public release (http://www.oscmax.com/blog/michael_s/oscmax_v2025_released) of 'Max since you last looked.
You may find that the USPS module has been updated (http://bugtrack.oscmax.com/) in SVN (http://code.google.com/p/oscmax2/updates/list) since you last looked.
You may find that the next yet to be released publicly, 'Max 2.1 (http://www.oscmax.com/blog) has an updated module.

lol, yeah... my tone was based upon the fact that I was highly irritated that it wasn't working, like I still am :) so I may have come across as being frustrated, which I still am.
I have updated to .15 long ago, will look into the svn and see if theres anything new in there.... as for the yet to be released 2.1 I'm not sure how that can help me now?? Is that due out some time in September maybe??

2.0.25 is the current release.
Unofficially, tail end of Sept might be a good time to start holding your breath. ;)

thanks for replying this time, I do appreciate it... I'll see about updating to .25 (I hate working for free but I need to deliver a working product)
This store has cost me way more in time than I charged originally to set it up.. i REALLY hope 2.1 is so completely awesome and works so well that I can just setup a site for a client and not have to provide free support for 6 months because things don't work :)
