I am running MySQL version5.1.56

When i copy the files over my admin is named something other then admin do i just rename the admin to what mine is called

You have to put the new admin files wherever your actual admin is located. If you don't, then the new files may as well have never been uploaded.

i renamed my admin before i uploaded it to my server to match my old admin name.
i just assumed you had to or it would create a new folder admin along with your original admin.
but im far from an expert on here so dont take my advice...im just stating what i did and i had no problems.

Yep, your assumption is correct. Another tidbit to be added to the upgrade documentation.

Ok I think all is working now except my orders page. I had to update by the update files. I didnt have an update button. When I click on the orders link I get a solid white page. I tried using one of the orders.php files from a previous version but same thing. I have put the new file back in. Any ideas.

Just checking to see is there has been an update to make the orders page work. When I click on any orders link, I just get a blank white page.

Is there a listing of the changes somewhere? Or at least some way of viewing the ones that happened between RC1 and RC2 in the bug tracker?

Yep - use the bug tracker to "browse" - dev -> 2.1 -> catalog -> etc. Then you can see the revisions made to the each file in the SVN. Regards,

Also you could turn on error reporting in admin to see what is crashing your setup ... orders works fine on my test stores. Regards,

I've been following the various threads on RC2. Have the reported bugs been corrected (i.e. if I download it today will it be the same as if I had downloaded it when it was first released) and do we have any date or target date for the final release?

Why might you think it is any different from when you last downloaded it? I'm sure by now that you must have seen mentions of bugtracker and SVN (where the most up-to-date release can be found). Look in the roadmap as to how close another release might be.

For anyone else wondering the same thing, if the updates and bugfixes are added to the release package, the version number will always be incremented. So, if the version number has not changed, then neither has any of the code in the release package.

I hope that clarifies things.
