Re: osCmax v2.5 Beta 2 Released - Discussion thread
Did you re-run the installer? There are database changes, so the installer needs to be re-run to start with a fresh database. If you want to upgrade an existing test store, you will need to run a patch on your database - not yet released, coming in the changes-only package.

Ack... test store... Will need to go re-download beta 1. Thank you
Hmmm can not find beta 1 and I seem to have lost my copy. Man this day has gone from bad to worse. Hope someone is around and can tell me where beta 1 is so I can get this backup.
Re: osCmax v2.5 Beta 2 Released - Discussion thread
Hey Michael,
Been looking forward to this for a while now and glad it seems like getting very close to being able to run this on a live store. I read where you are looking for beta testers (those to throughly test and report bugs) and was wondering if there is a list somewhere on who is testing what? I know the more the merrier to throughly test each feature but would be nice to know which features have less testers so that more users can lean towards those to help level it out.

First wanted to say Happy New Year! Looking forward to osCmax having a banner year!
I know on the priority list this might be lower but any chance on seeing the "Changes only Package" in the near future? Running a 2.5Beta1 store and would like to update to beta2 so I can continue testing...
Re: osCmax v2.5 Beta 2 Released - beta1 to beta2 sql batch file
I generated a batch file to update the database, but I have not had sufficient time to test it to be sure there are no problems. This is not an official release, so be sure to make backups of everything before using.
I have attached the db upgrade script below, just make sure you backup your database before running it, as you may run into issues (safety first!).
All you need to do is upload all the new beta 2 files from the official beta2 package (make sure you have the beta1 files on hand if you need to revert), then run the sql in the above zip file on your database (after you made a backup). Use phpmyadmin to run the batch file. That should do it.
Go to the site and test. I strongly recommend you do a test upgrade on a dummy copy of your live site first. Going in cold to an upgrade is just asking for trouble.
Did I mention that you should make backups of everything before proceeding?
